Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Andreas Troeger has been living in New York City since 1992, when he was awarded a DAAD scholarship to study film at NYU. He has edited over 600 Broadcast TV episodes, realized over 10 independent films, documentaries and created numerous internationally shown video installations - many of them in association with Nam June Paik.

Intrigued by the avant-garde he collaborated early in his carrier with performers such as (Alexeij Sagerer, Minimal Club, Lennie Johnson, Angela Dauber, Elke Rindfleisch and Rachel Cohen), video artists (Paul Garrin and Nam June Paik) and filmmakers (Iara Lee and Nick Zedd) alike.

"The 'Out of The Ordinary' is an element in almost all of his works. He provokes the viewer on a visual and acoustical level. As a virtuoso of camera, sound and editing techniques, Troeger exploits his media in every conceivable manner." (Eva Kuttenberg Ph.D.)

He graduated from the Film Academy in Munich and studied additional film productions at NYU. Previously educated in computer technology he became involved in many cyber space projects as the Internet evolved.

Currently he works for New York Broadcast Television and creates documentaries, fashion videos, promotionals and avant-garde films.
