911 responds to September 11th in New York City by processing the media coverage of that day and its aftermath. Many New Yorkers experienced the events directly; most experienced them via their television sets. The media both captured and magnified the confusion and shock of that day, creating and relentlessly revisiting indelible images.

CROSSMATCH - A medical High-Tech firm abuses aborted fetuses for bone marrow transplants. They promote their devious exploits through an aggressive PR campaign. A Horrible View Into The Future. Human beings as organ sources. "CROSSMATCH" is a comprehensive, thrilling, fast moving story with attention paid to the idea's originality: Is genetic engineering based on ethical, philanthropic ideals or is it just 'Big Business'?

SIDETRACKED is a poetic film about the future of individuals in former East-Germany. Travelling through a dessert of toxic waste and destroyed landscape the film depicts the spirit of a repressed society after the unification of East and West Germany

The phenomenon of the acceleration and its consequences on human beings are the theme of the video FIN. Rapid montage which pushes the envelope of perception reveals a rhythmic scenario, which presents visually the aggressive, destructive and escalating potential of this momentum. FIN is composed of images that span all media from film and comic strips to computer, which show the evolution of technology in the late 20th Century visually through the evolution of the image technology.

A night with a paramedics crew. Five nights in an ambulance car, filming the race between life and death. LIFEPAK was chosen as one of ten works for the German Short Film Award 1991.

PATH (Autopsy) - A fixed brain is cut into slices like a ripe pineapple. Heads are opened and guts are prepared for the post-mortem examination. The preparator opens a body and a young female doctor dissects a fetus. The comments in the film are like guards, which lead you through the images. Early in their careers, the pathology workers reported having extreme fascination and at the same time emotional difficulty with their vocation. In many cases they lost their friend and were labeled "butchers" as a result of their chosen profession. The video gives a precise and clinical look behind the iron doors of a pathology lab. The pictures are shocking. They touch deep-set fears.

STROM (Electric Current) - Thought, like electricity, has two poles. A positive and a negative: use and misuse. Electric current is dangerous because it tears and pulls. So no one wants to touch current. Today, shock as a recriminating impulse often saves lives. The negative aspect; electric shock as penalty: torture, death on the electric chair.
